CEREC Porcelain Crowns in Madison, WI

TOP-QUALITY RESULTS WITH TOP-OF-THE-LINE TECHNOLOGY

If you have ever been fitted with dental crowns, porcelain veneers, inlays or onlays, you know how lengthy the process can be. To eliminate the hassle of working with dental laboratories that create restorations, we have invested in a CEREC machine that allows for same-day crowns for our Madison office. CEREC allows us to fabricate your ceramic restorations in just a single office visit, dramatically decreasing your treatment time and vastly improving the accuracy of your results.

A restoration created by CEREC is not only more convenient but also higher quality. Amalgam, gold and other metals that were used before ceramic usually presented a number of drawbacks. Ceramic same-day CEREC restorations restore the natural look, feel and function of your teeth without increasing sensitivity or tarnishing the aesthetics of your smile. Since ceramic restorations are bonded directly to your teeth, there is no need to remove excess healthy tooth tissue.

CEREC is applicable for many different types of dental treatments and can create crowns, fillings, veneers, inlays and onlays in just a single appointment. Cracked, decayed, weakened and discolored teeth do not stand a chance against this amazing technology. If you are looking for a fast and efficient way to rejuvenate your smile, contact Dentistry for Madison LLC to learn more about same-day CEREC dental crowns in Madison, Wisconsin.

UNDERSTANDING A CROWN PROCEDURE

The procedure to place dental crowns is one for which CEREC is used most often. We will first administer anesthetic and prepare your tooth. Some of your natural tooth structure will be removed, both to eliminate decay and other damage and to make room for the crown.

In the past, this would have concluded your first of two or three appointments, and you would have been left with a temporary crown while the mold of your tooth was sent to an off-site laboratory. Instead, our dentist will apply a tasteless powder to your prepared tooth, and a digital picture will be taken. Then, the CEREC software will use the photograph to make a 3D model of your restoration on the computer.

Once we have fine-tuned your crown to optimize its color and fit, the design data is sent to the milling machine. Information will be used from the virtual model to direct the tools that carve your crown from a block of porcelain. After only about 15 minutes, your crown will be polished and tried on. After carefully checking the fit of your crown and bite, we will apply cement and attach the restoration. Any excess bonding material will be removed, and you will be sent on your way with a fabulous new smile.
