Porcelain Veneers Madison
Video: Upgrade Your Smile
Porcelain veneers are for patients that are looking to correct the color, wear or shape of their teeth. The porcelain veneers used at Dr. Jay Hazen's Madison dental practice are very similar to enamel in many ways, including the way they look, and how they reflect light.

At Dentistry For Madison, Dr. Jay C. Hazen and Dr. Sarah Karls will work to upgrade your smile to its full potential. If it’s the small imperfections that are holding you back from showing off your pearly whites, porcelain veneers may be the solution. Many of our Madison patients have experienced the incredible possibilities of veneers and have seen the natural-looking results first-hand. These thin, yet durable shells of porcelain are bonded to the front surfaces of your teeth to change their size, shape, length, and/or color. Since we’ve invested in the CEREC® machine, we can place your veneers in just one office visit.
If small inconsistencies in your teeth are detracting from the overall beauty of your smile, contact Dentistry For Madison today to see if you are a candidate for porcelain veneers.
Understanding the Procedure
During your consultation with one of our doctors, we will discuss in detail your treatment goals and any personal requests you may have. Guided by your expectations and our expertise, an individualized treatment plan will be drawn up illustrating the color, fit, and overall look you can expect.
Your doctor will administer anesthetic to make the procedure comfortable and pain-free. A small amount of enamel will be removed from your teeth to make room for the veneers, and based on an impression made of your prepared teeth, the CEREC® machine will cut the shells from a block of porcelain. In a matter of minutes, your veneers will be ready to be tried in.
After carefully checking the color and fit of your new veneers, your doctor will clean, polish, and lightly buff the surface of your teeth to create the optimal surface for bonding. Finally, we will apply the cement, and attach the porcelain veneers, being careful to remove any excess adhesive material.
This procedure has been fine-tuned to make your experience with us easy and stress-free, and we are confident that you will be more than satisfied with your new smile.
Something for Everyone
Although porcelain is the material most commonly used to make veneers, Dentistry For Madison provides a variety of material and treatment options to ensure that everyone who needs veneers has the opportunity to receive them. An in-depth discussion with Dr. Hazen and Dr. Karls during your consultation will help us establish a plan for care that will work best for you. If you have any questions or concerns, this consultation is good time to address them.
Video: Candidates for Invisalign® and Veneers
Dr. Jay Hazen discusses the difference between a good candidate for Invisalign® and a good candidate for veneers. In general, someone with a lot of wear on their teeth is more ideal for veneers, and a patient with crowded teeth will want to go for clear braces. Patients looking for excellent cosmetic dentistry services are able to come to Dr.Hazen's Madison dental practice to get the procedure done perfectly. Enlarge Video View All Videos
You are likely a good candidate for porcelain veneers if your teeth are:
- Excessively worn
- Chipped or broken
- Misaligned, uneven, or irregularly shaped
- Separated by conspicuous gaps
